Services / AI Consultation

Decide where AI is worth it, and where it is not.

AI is already in your organisation, spread thin across whoever happened to try something. The AI Readiness & Strategy engagement replaces that with a straight answer: how ready you actually are, graded across eight areas, and a short list of the workflows worth building first, each one costed. Six weeks, around 10 hours of your team’s time, from £10,000. Then, if you want it, I help you build them and make the change stick.

[ How I work with you ]

Understand, plan, build, support.

A calm, low-disruption path from “we should probably use AI” to real, working change, led by me and shaped entirely around where you actually are.

Step 01

Understand

Discovery, interviews and data collection to work out honestly where you stand and where AI could genuinely help.

Step 02

Plan

A strategy, roadmap and the governance to move safely, framed by impact and effort.

Step 03

Build & embed

Win over key stakeholders and prove value fast by building the highest-priority workflows.

Step 04

Support

Training, champions and ongoing support so the change sticks after I step back.

AI Readiness & Strategy.

Assess, plan and prioritise, in one

Know where you stand, and get the plan to act on it.

You probably know AI matters, but could you say, with any confidence, how ready your organisation actually is, and what to do about it? This is where we start. I run an executive discovery workshop, interview your key stakeholders, survey your people anonymously, and assess your current tools, processes and governance. Then I turn that read into a clear strategy and a 12-month roadmap, so you leave knowing both where you stand and exactly what to do next.

The most useful finding is usually the gap: what your leadership team believes is happening, set against what your people report. Alongside it you get the appetite map, which is who is already using AI, who is waiting to be told what is allowed, and who objects and why. That is what tells you where to start.

  • 01Executive discovery workshop with leadership.
  • 02Stakeholder interviews and data collection across the business.
  • 03AI maturity assessment and opportunity mapping.
  • 04Governance & policy review.
  • 05AI strategy, vision and 12-month roadmap.
  • 06AI adoption & embedding framework.

[ The principle ]

Responsible AI, decided rather than assumed.

Plenty of organisations have people who are uneasy about AI, on ethical, environmental or job security grounds. The answer is not to talk them round. It is to use AI deliberately, in fewer places, where the value clearly beats the cost, and to write that down so the next decision is made the same way.

Only where it earns it

Costed first

Every opportunity is costed before it is recommended. The ones that do not pay for themselves are named as such and dropped.

Weighed, not assumed

Numbers, with the assumption shown

Hours and pounds against each candidate, with the working underneath, so your team can argue with the maths rather than the idea.

Written down

Your AI policy

The principle goes into your policy and your guiding rules in your own words, so it holds when you are not in the room.

[ Next · make it stick ]

Bring your team with you.

A read and a roadmap only matter if people change how they work. The adoption programme turns the plan into everyday habits, with hands-on training and workshops, two sessions of your choice. If you would rather start with something lighter, a keynote or team talk on AI in action often does the warming up.

[ Implementation ]

AI Workflow Development.

The assessment produces a prioritised backlog of automation opportunities. We then build the ones worth building, each scoped and quoted on its own so you only commission what earns its place. Typical examples: AI assistants, internal knowledge bases, Google Workspace automation, n8n workflows, reporting automation and content production. This engagement looks inward at how the organisation runs. If the question is how you show up in AI search instead, that is the AI Marketing Visibility Audit, and it is a separate piece of work.

[ Questions ]

The questions leaders usually ask.

How long does the engagement take?

Six weeks, or eight when diaries are tight. Around 10 hours of your team’s time in total: the surveys, a short set of stakeholder interviews, the leadership workshop and the playback. Dates are set around your deadlines, and most teams want four to six weeks’ notice before we start.

Who needs to be involved?

A handful of key stakeholders across the areas AI touches, usually leadership plus a few people close to the day-to-day work, and everyone else through the anonymous survey. Two conditions make it work: an amnesty, so nobody is in trouble for the tools they already use, and no managers in the staff sessions.

What if some of our people are against using AI?

Good. That is data, and the anonymous survey counts it rather than talking around it: who is already using AI, who is waiting to be told what is allowed, and who objects and what they say is behind it, in their own words. The answer is not to argue people round. It is deliberate use in fewer places, where the value clearly beats the cost, written into your AI policy so the next decision is made the same way.

Is it worth doing if we are about to replace one of our systems?

Yes, and it often helps. Mapping how a process actually runs today is work you need anyway to specify a replacement, so nothing is wasted. Where a system is staying but is awkward to work with, there is usually an API or export route to get the data out. Where the workaround would be bigger than the problem, the roadmap says so and puts the replacement on the plan instead.

Do we have to commit to everything?

No. The readiness & strategy engagement is the natural starting point. Adoption and workflow development are separate steps you only take when it makes sense.

Can you build the workflows too?

Yes. The assessment identifies and prioritises the opportunities, and I can then build the highest-impact ones and support you as they roll out.
